Professional Background

I earned my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from Wheaton College in Illinois, with a concentration in neuropsychology. Prior, I completed my Bachelors from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and a Masters in clinical psychology from Wheaton College.

I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Veterans Affairs (VA) Connecticut Healthcare System, with a rotation at UConn. To complete the highest level of training, I pursued a post-doctoral fellowship at Dallas VA Medical Center in Texas, followed by a full-time staff position. I started this practice, White Stone, in 2020.

Over the past 10+ years, I have worked in a wide variety of mental health settings: outpatient general mental health, inpatient substance use, inpatient psychiatry, primary care, subacute medical rehab, inpatient hospice, college counseling center, academic hospitals (University of Chicago, UConn), and senior community health.

While I have a generalist foundation with a wide net of competencies, I have unique specialties of health psychology and spiritual integration.

Life Outside

I value authenticity, kindness, and adventure, all of which are reflected in my personality. I am often smiling, upbeat, and inquisitive.

I practice what I encourage, and attempt to live a life most congruent with my values — one that feels vibrant and fulfilling. For me, that often looks like challenging goals, pursuing change, and spending time in nature.

In 2020, I left my hospital job to backpack the Appalachian Trail. On trail, I established a plan to create a more values-aligned life, which was the catalyst to starting this private practice. I have since thru-hiked the Colorado Trail and the River to River Trail. I am happiest when climbing mountains and sleeping under the stars.

When not in the virtual office, I enjoy training and competing in triathlon races, reading and listening to books, and mothering my young children.
